Landscape Photography Number 23: Lower Falls Yellowstone

Rainbow over fallsNumber 23 of my Landscape Photography series was taken just off of Uncle Tom’s Trail in early June, it is a picture of Lower Falls.  Taking good pictures in Yellowstone is about as easy as standing next to a lake, picking up a rock and making a splash.  Beauty is all around and as long as you can point and shoot you are going to end up with some pictures you will want to hang up on the wall which is why I love Yellowstone so much.  Another thing that Karen and I like to take pictures of is waterfalls and Yellowstone has plenty of them and several quality ones that are relatively easy to get to.

This particular picture was taken at the bottom of Uncle Tom’s Trail which is a short trail but step as you have to climb down 300 plus steps.  The climb is worth it because at the end of the steps you get to get up close and personal to an amazing waterfall in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.  If you have never been to Yellowstone you need to put it on your bucket list, it truly is a magical place.

You are right about Yellowstone. Everyone should go. I’m so thankful I got to make this trip. I am forever grateful.
