I have been enjoying the first few days of October, the weather getting cooler, seeing pumpkins and mums showing up on my neighbors front porches, watching our daughter M’s eyes light up as she sees the signs of Halloween. This year I have been looking for ways to decorate without spending much money. I keep seeing cute little pennant banners on Pinterest and I thought I’d try my hand at a little Trick or Treat sign.
I scanned an old piece of sheet music to use for the background, just for a little black and white touch. Then I printed off the letters using an old gothic looking font. I cut out each letter after tracing around them with a little circle shape (I used a water glass) and attached them to my triangle pennants.
I used some left over little clothes pens to clip the flags to some jute and hung the whole thing up on our living room fireplace. Voila! A fun and festive little sign. M points it out all the time. I can’t wait to see her face when we start carving pumpkins.
I scanned my little pennants if any of you guys would like to print them off and have your own Trick or Treat banner. Click the link for the printable pdf. Printable Banner Hope you enjoy!
