Lewis Falls: a Quick Stop in Yellowstone

Lewis FallsLewis Falls is another roadside waterfall attraction in Yellowstone National Park.  This 30 foot waterfall is located along the South Entrance Road just south of Lewis Lake.  There is a small parking area and a sign alerting you to the falls.  If you end up taking the South Entrance Road make sure you take this 15 minute quick stop to see Lewis Falls.Lewis Falls Sign

Though it is not a very high waterfall Lewis Falls location and ease make it a very popular waterfall to see so parking might be difficult to find during peak time and season.  There is a short 100 plus yard hike to a closer viewpoint of the falls.  Since the attractions on the South Entrance Road are not as numerous as other areas of the park Lewis Falls becomes a much better stop coming or going from Yellowstone National Park.
