37 week photo
This was yet another fabulous week with a three day weekend. Kenny was off work in honor of President’s Day and we really enjoyed spending so much time as a family. We celebrated my youngest sister’s birthday and had dinner with the family, that is always fun to get us all together. We also picked up an amazing craigslist find with the help of my Dad, a nice lady was selling her entertainment center for an unbelievable price. We swooped down and snatched it up and I am in love with it! She even threw in the tv and a nice lingerie chest at no extra charge! Wow!!
We ran a lot of errands later that day, stopped by Lowe’s, a sporting goods store and did our grocery shopping. M was such a sweetie the entire time. There was quite a line at the grocery store and our sweet girl spotted a nice man in line behind us who happened to look a lot like Grandpa. She was grinning and kicking and squealing and flirting and he thought it was the greatest thing ever. I’m so glad she can light up peoples days like that, she certainly lights up mine.
Highlight of the week:
Karen- Scoring that awesome entertainment center off craigslist was definitely a highlight for me. Baby M peacefully coming along for the ride was also a highlight.
Kenny- Taking a day off work was really nice, I was feeling a little burnt out and needed to spend some time with my family. It was a good thing because we got lots of stuff done.
Product we are loving:
Karen- Her highchair comes in so handy now a days. She sits in it at the table with me while I eat lunch and then again for her little dinner (consisting mostly of prunes lately). She is such a little sweetheart!
Kenny- All of her books, she LOVES her books and we are glad that she does. We need to go to the library and get some new options.
Struggle:
Karen- I am still trying to get her digestion all worked out. Poor little thing, we are eating lots of prunes still.
Kenny- She is sure attached to her Momma, sometimes when I hold my hands out to take her she turns and buries her face in Momma’s chest. I know she loves me but it still hurts Daddy’s heart.
Something we have learned:
Karen- She is so smart, she is really getting down object permanence. If I hide a toy behind my back she knows immediately where to look for it. She follows my hand behind my back, passing things off to Daddy, slipping them under a blanket, she is a genius (Mom and Dad sure think so anyway).
Kenny- She’s really working on walking right now. If we hold her hands she will march her feet up and down and ‘walk’ forward. She loves to stand up while holding onto our ottoman. Sometimes she will even let go for a few seconds and really stand by herself. I can’t believe how quickly she’s growing and changing.
Quote of the week:
We had M dressed in one of her cute new outfits when we went to my Mom and Dad’s house for Lori’s birthday. Meeting us at the door my sweet nephew said “she looks just like a ballerina” (M had on a fun little tutu).
M vs Giraffe Week 37
It has been a great thirty-seventh week and we are looking forward to many, many more!

Besides looking at that cute face. Look at those fingers and toes, they are so cute.
Poor Kenny, don’t let your heart hurt. From time to time they are more attached to Mama then another day they are attached to Daddy. I mean, see how attached Karen is to her Daddy!!! She doesn’t bury her head in my shoulder, at least not any more. lol
