36 week photo
We have had such a wonderful week, Kenny had parent teacher conferences this week so he only had to work a half day on Friday. Needless to say we took it as an opportunity to get a little three day weekend road trip in. We visited Dallas and Fort Worth and got to see the zoos, The Dallas Museum of Art, and several other fun exhibits. It is just such a joy watching M experience all these new things for the first time. Every trip we take gets easier and easier. She is getting more used to her car seat and is just such a fun little travel buddy. We love her so much!
Highlight of the week:
Karen- Parading my sweet girl through zoo’s and art museums and seeing her eyes light up with wonder at all the new exciting things she was seeing. It was also fun to have so many strangers just ooh and aah over her preciousness.
Kenny- Having her do so well on the trip was a blessing. As much as we like to travel it is always nice to have her be so easy going, as long as we’re not in the car too long.
Product we are loving:
Karen- I appreciated the changing pad that came along with my diaper bag. Being on the go I sometimes have to change her in random places. I am always glad to have a clean familiar pad to lay her on even if we are in a public restroom or the seat of the rental car.
Kenny- Funny enough, the lid and straw to a McDonalds cup was quite entertaining to my little girl this weekend. She was READY to be out of the car and we still had about 45 minutes to go so I was trying anything by that point to keep her happy. She was pretty fascinated with that straw and lid contraption.
Struggle:
Karen- No major struggles right now, she is such a little sweetie. Anytime we do have a little struggle she works through it pretty fast and we’re on to something new.
Kenny- Nothing right now, everything is going pretty good.
Something we have learned:
Karen- I’ve known this all along, but Kenny is such a great Dad. He loves M with all his heart and is so precious with her. He entertains her for hours on end in the car, rocks her to sleep at night, reads book after book and sings to her. I just love seeing them together.
Kenny- Don’t forget the pack ‘n play when you go out of town. I knew the trunk was looking pretty empty when we left. It wasn’t a major problem, the hotel had a roll away crib, we just used our own crib sheet and wiped the whole thing down with antibacterial wipes before we let M sleep in there.
Quote of the week:
-While we were at The Dallas Muesum of Art there was a group of teenagers on a field trip. One of the girls spied our sweet baby girl and I heard her confide to her friend “they are raising that baby right!” (having her at an art museum).
-Two female museum ushers also pounced upon us exclaiming with glee “oh, she is just the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen“… “my goodness, seriously, she is like the gerber baby, she has such perfect skin“….”She is like a little porcelain doll“…”what a beautiful baby”
And those were just a few of our fun encounters. I love hearing other people gush over our little sweetie.
M vs Giraffe Week 36
It has been a great thirty-sixth week and we are looking forward to many, many more!

Oh my goodness Dad is laughing and smiling. He said “that girls just make me smile”. She is changing so fast. Looks like she is about to walk out of that chair. I need to kiss her face some more and more.
