Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
Procrastination… I know I am guilty of it. Just the other day I was checking back over our website making a list of things that I need to add, fix, and change to it when I came upon our remodeling section which has not been added to since August. Not because I have been lazy about writing down all the things that we have been doing, but the fact we have gotten nothing done on the house in a long time. Today we shook off our lazy hands and got to work. That is why this week we have chosen Proverbs 10:4-5 to be this week’s Sunday Scripture verse as a daily reminder that God wants us to be productive.
That is why it is one thing to make plans, see our remodeling list, it is a whole other ball game to get those things done. Karen and I are going to try our best this week and going forward to make sure our hands are not idle. If you have been putting things off try writing down Proverbs 10:4-5 in a visible place as a daily reminder to be diligent in the things you need to do.
