Sunday Scripture 1st Thessalonians 5:18

thankfulAs we were getting home from our recent trip to Minneapolis, Minnesota Karen and I were talking about our week and what fun we had. Then we looked at each other and tried to figure out who was going to write this weeks, when Karen asked what was last weeks?  That was not a good sign, but what was much worse was the fact that I could not tell her what it was.  Our Sunday scripture is supposed to be something that we are concentrating on all week and we had totally forgotten about.  After looking it up I had chosen was Psalm 63:3 “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.” Obviously, I did not do a very good job during the week using my lips to glorify God.  Good thing God is very forgiving which is why we all should be very thankful, which brings up this week’s Sunday scripture 1st Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Karen and are so blessed with all that we have from family, to good jobs, and million other things in our lives.  Since the time M has been with us Karen and I have become more of a praying family and one of things we always seem to do when talking to God is thank Him for as many blessings as we can think of.  After this last trip and just how smooth it was and how much fun we all had we are extremely thankful.  When we first loaded up the car to go we had one of those married moments were our eyes locked and we could read each other’s minds.  Our minds were saying, are we nuts she is only 4 months old and she does not like to be in the car for very long. But the trip went so well and M was such a champ we are already ready for the next one.  So, Karen and I have lots of things to be thankful for.
