For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Last weeks scripture was John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” I think Kenny and I must be on the same wave length again because his scripture from last week was about not being afraid and this week I specifically looked for a verse that had to do with courage.
It’s not that we’re a couple of scaredy cats but I think becoming a parent really makes you more conscious of all the dangers and fears of the world. We are so blessed that God helps us live IN the world but not OF the world. It is through Him that we are able to fear not. I recently read that the message “fear not” is used in the Bible 365 times, it’s God’s daily reminder for us not to be afraid. How cool is that?
I need all the reminders I can get right now. It is easy for me to get timid and intimidated and kind of hole up here in my home. But how can I help shine Gods light if no one can see me or interact with me? So, one of my new goals is to not let that fear get the best of me.
What could accomplish if you didn’t let fear get in the way?
