18 week photo
Well we survived round two of vaccines without too many tears. M took them like a champ and Mommy didn’t even shed a tear this time. The doctor said she looked perfectly healthy, she’s just growing and growing. She is 25.5 inches long and 14 lbs 14 oz.
She is such a special little sweet heart, she is just charming her Mommy and Daddy all to pieces. We love hearing all her little noises, squealing and babbling. She is also super cute when she smiles so big and crinkles her little nose, she is just full of joy!
Highlight of the week:
Karen- Figuring out new things that will make M giggle is so fun for me. When I’m holding her if I zoom us in quickly towards the mirror she will just laugh, and sometimes I lay down on the ground and sit her up on my stomach, then I peek-a-boo my head up and surprise her, oh! She thinks this is hilarious. I love that little sweetie so much!
Kenny- Getting through the second round of her shots was another big milestone. I’m so glad that she is healthy and safe.
Product we’re loving:
Karen- I’m loving our stroller. Going for our daily walks is definitely a highlight of mine and M’s day. It just feels so good to get outside in the sunshine, feeling the fresh air and hearing the birds chirp.
Kenny- We recently purchased a Baby Einstein take along tunes music toy for M. It is handy to take in the car and keeps her attention and helps soothe her if we are on a longer than normal car trip. It has little twinkle lights and plays soft pretty tunes rather than jarring obnoxious sounds. M really seems to like it.
Struggle:
Karen- My body us just so hurty, my shoulders are stiff and tight, my back is all twisted and achey, my knees crackle and pop, I’m just breaking down. I’m hoping it isn’t down hill from here and that one of these days I’ll start feeling better.
Kenny- Just wishing there was more time in every day.
Karen- I can’t do it all. Some things have to take the back burner and if that means that there are dirty dishes in the sink, or a pile of unfolded laundry or we have to get dinner from a restaurant again instead of a home cooked meal that is okay.
Kenny- You have to write down questions that you have for the doctor! Don’t just assume you’ll remember what you want to talk to them about. Believe me, in the heat of the moment at the doctors office your brain will fly out the window and you’ll leave and realize you forgot to ask ANY of your questions.
Quote of the week:
Karen-
(Our nurse at the doctors office) I know what movie Mommy has been watching
( I was subconsciously humming “If I only had a brain” from The Wizard of Oz)
Kenny-
(M, squealing with glee) AAAEEEeeeehhhahh
It has been a great eighteenth week and we are looking forward to many, many more!

Wow!! She is changing so much! Her hair seems a lot redder and her eyes look darker (but it could just be the picture). Only 3 more weeks and the best friends will unite! Can’t wait for the two of them to meet
