Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Last weeks Sunday Scripture was Psalms 118:1, ‘Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Kenny and I really tried to focus on this verse throughout our week. I wrote it on a big pretty chalk board that is in our living room and it helped me, in moments of chaos, to refocus and keep the big picture in mind.
A few times during the week when M was crying or I was having trouble getting her settled down and I would start to feel discouraged I would glance at that chalk board and get a second wind. I would say a prayer of thanks for my sweet baby and the fact that she is healthy and that God gave her those little lungs that she can make a big noise with. It is easy to forget all the things we have to be thankful for when that one little problem is bugging you.
When we just go about our daily life, it is amazing what happens when you take a moment to pause and think about all the things that we have to be thankful for. Really focusing on it this past week has helped me realize and remember just how blessed I am.
We are excited to see how focusing on this weeks scripture impacts our lives. Did any of you follow along and find yourself giving thanks to the Lord?
