Ultimate to do list

I’m kind of a nut when it comes to making lists.  I almost always have a to do list running somewhere, whether it’s on a notepad, a piece of paper in my purse, in my phone, wherever it is it just makes me feel more organized and therefore better able to relax when I have one.
to-do-listSo, needless to say we have one BIG to do list when it comes to our house remodeling.  We thought it might be fun to share our ultimate to do list here for you all to see and it will also keep us accountable in getting it done (eventually).

I’ll try to break it up room by room so it’s easier (for all of us) to understand.  So, without further ado….

Kitchen:
refinish cabinets
lay tile
-paint (Sherwin Williams Nomadic Dessert with Red accent wall)
-paint ceiling (white)
-replace light fixture
-paint pantry
-update cabinet and drawer hardware

-install granite countertops
-install backsplash
-replace oven
replace dishwasher
-replace faucet
-replace vent hood
-hang curtain rod and curtains
-refinish baseboards
-replace backdoor

Living Room:
finish archway
paint (Sherwin Williams Nomadic Dessert)
-paint ceiling (white)
-replace lightfixture

resurface Fireplace with stacked stone
remove carpet and carpet pad
install hardwood floors
remove wainscoting
-hang curtain rods and curtains
-refinish baseboards

Formal Living Room:
-repair and texture walls
-paint (Sherwin Williams Nomadic Dessert)
-remove carpet and pad
-paint ceiling (white)
-install overhead lighting
-add built in shelves
-install hardwood floors
-hang curtain rod and curtains
-install new front door
-refinish baseboards
-install entryway tile

Office Area of Great Room:
-repair and texture walls
-paint walls (Sherwin Williams Nomadic Dessert)
-paint ceiling (white)
-replace light fixture
-remove carpet and pad
-install hardwood floors
-hang curtain rod and curtains
-refinish baseboards

Guest Bedroom:
install hardwood floors
-paint celing (white)

replace light fixture
paint (Behr Moss Green)
-paint inside closet (white)
-refinish closet doors
-hang curtain rod and curtains

Nursery:
paint (Sherwin Williams Swimming)
-paint ceiling (white)
-replace lightfixture
remove carpet and carpet pad
install hardwood floors
-refinish baseboards
-refinish closet doors
hang curtain rod and curtains

Guest Bathroom:
replace tile
-replace toilet
install new lightfixture
-refinish vanity
-install new countertop
-replace faucet
-refinish linen closet

Hallway:
-finish out new closet
-refinish closet door
install hardwood floors
-refinish baseboards

Master Bathroom:
-replace tile
-remove wainscoting
repair and texture walls
-install glass shower doors

-paint (not sure what color yet)
paint ceiling (white)
-refinish or replace vanity
-install new countertop
-replace faucet
-install new light fixture
-refinish baseboards

Master Bedroom:
-paint (not sure what color yet)
-replace light fixture
-paint inside of closets (white)
remove carpet and carpet pad
-paint ceiling (white)

-install hardwood floors
-refinish baseboards
-refinish closet doors
-hang curtain rod and curtains

Garage:
-build storage shelves
-clean and organize
-epoxy coat floor
-paint walls and ceiling (white)

Front Yard:
install water well
-install new sprinkler system hooked to well water
-install gutters
-level yard
-reseed yard
-remove overgrown plants
-plant flowerbeds
-move fence line to expand backyard (maybe)

Back Yard:
-refinish patio floor (maybe penny tile)
-rip out concrete
-plant grass
-plant flowerbeds
-install new sprinkler system hooked to well water
-reseed yard

Misc:
-replace electrical outlets
-replace switches
-replace switch plate covers

Don’t let that scare you, we don’t.  We just take it a day at a time and try to accomplish as much as we can as we are able to.  It is kind of exciting to see it all written down and know that we are crossing things off.  It sure will feel nice when everything (or at least half the things) are crossed off.
