Bumpdate: 39 weeks

Before and After Babybump

How Far Along: 39 weeks, this will be my very last bumpdate (for a while) because….she is HERE!!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Hooray, I’ve already lost twelve pounds.  I know that it will be a slow process but it is nice to see the numbers go down a little bit.

Maternity Clothes: Gracious I’m living in comfy pants and tee shirts right now.  Since we are basically just here at home with our sweet girl I can get away with wearing my sweats all the time.  We have been out to see the Pediatrician and such and I’ve taken that opportunity to get dressed and put on makeup and do my hair and that feels so good.  I still wore my maternity pants on our outing but I know I’ll be back to regular clothes before too very long.

Gender: What a sweet little baby girl we have.  I am so thankful that she is a patient, good baby and lets her Momma and Daddy figure all this new parent stuff out a little at a time.  It has been fun seeing her in her little pink outfits and SO much fun to have people ooh and ahh over her when we are out and about.  The comments we get the most are always about her sweet blonde hair.

Movement: Kenny is convinced she is trying to crawl already.  Sometimes when he holds her against his chest she kicks off with her little legs and basically climbs up his chest to be right by his face.  Wow, she is ahead of the curve!  She also really gets her feet a kicking when we change her diaper.

Sleep: What is sleep?  I’m just kidding, I think I remember sleeping.  We both get short little bursts in while M is sleeping inbetween feedings.  It is hard trying to stay calm and do new challenging things all while running on so little sleep but we know this is a short season of life and we are enjoying her so very much.  The time will go all too quickly.

What I miss: Sleep… and as funny as it sounds, because he is with me 24/7, I miss my sweet hubby.  We take turns watching the baby so I watch her while Kenny does things around the house or he takes care of her while I try to get some valuable rest or take a quick shower.  We do spend a lot of time together watching her, but I think my crazy hormones want Kenny glued to my side at all times.

Cravings: Sleep… can that be my answer to all these questions?

Best Moment this week: The arrival of our precious daughter.  It was an amazing day and something that I’m certain Kenny and I will never forget.  I still can’t believe she’s here and she is ours and we get to keep her forever!
