Bumpdate: 38 weeks

38 weeks pregnantHow Far Along: 38 weeks, I did not think I would be pregnant for this long. Way back when I had to have the cerclage stitch put in and I was so worried that she would be an ultra premie, I just knew she would make her arrival the moment the stitch was removed. Now I’m starting to wonder if I will go PAST my due date!?! It’s okay, I will be patient, I know she will come right when God wants her to.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Eep! Thirty two pounds gained. I don’t know how it is still going up, I have been enjoying so much salad and fruit recently. I do seem to have some feet and ankle swelling by the end of the day so maybe we can chalk it up to water retention.

Maternity Clothes: I’m still loving wearing dresses, as you can see I have the same dress on from my 37 week bumpdate (oops), I promise I don’t wear it every day.

Gender: I am getting more and more excited about having our little girl here with us. I am taking about fifteen outfits for her to the hospital with us because I just can’t wait to see her in them. I also can’t wait to see Kenny with his little daughter. He is going to be such a great Dad!

Movement: She is a little mover and a shaker especially in the evenings. I think her space is getting more and more cramped, I still love every single little kick and roll and jab.

Sleep: I am so tired recently, I seem to be taking more naps on the couch in the evenings, kind of like at the beginning of pregnancy. I keep reading that a burst of energy signals you’re close to delivery… hmmm, I’m still waiting for that burst. I sleep well at night I just have to get up several times to use the restroom. I can barely remember what it is like to just spring up out of bed.

What I miss: I miss wearing my wedding ring. My hands are too puffy for me to wear it now. I slipped it on my pinky finger the other day and just fell in love with it’s sparkly beauty all over again.

Cravings: I had to have a banana split from Braums yesterday. I don’t think I’ve ever had one before but Kenny and I shared one and it really hit the spot. I’ve also been eating a lot of chinese food along with my daily grilled chicken salads with ranch dressing.

Best Moment this week: Getting her nursery FINISHED!! Hooray! It is so cute I just want to sit in there and stare at everything. In fact Kenny has caught me just sitting and rocking several times already. We should have a full nursery tour up in the next few days.

Thanks Momma 🙂 I’m glad Kenny and I shared the banana split too, it was huge! Hopefully I’ll be making that phone call to you any day now!

So fun! I can’t believe how big your belly is!! And I can see your poor swollen feet. Don’t worry it won’t be much longer and she will be here and everything will be happy and wonderful 🙂 I can’t wait to see the nursery!! (PS I want a banana split too!)
