Maternity Photos

*warning, picture overload below… Julie, these are for you
IMG_2596A few weeks ago we got the opportunity to take some maternity photos at the glorious garden where we got married.  The idea just came to me one day when I was trying to think of beautiful places to take some pictures.  I was visualizing a garden type of place and all of a sudden it dawned on me, the garden where we got married is the MOST beautiful garden I can think of!
IMG_2661I quickly called them and asked if taking maternity photos there was even a possibility.  I was afraid they would say no simply because they are so busy tending to weddings.  But, to my surprise, they said that would be just fine.  In fact, they usually charge people a sitting fee to take photos in the gardens, but because Kenny and I are alumni we got to pose there free of charge.  Woo Hoo!
IMG_2671My best friend Stephanie is a wonderful photographer, you can see her website here.  We initially wanted to set up a session with her, but she was booked solid and it just didn’t work out for the day that the gardens were available.  Luckily my precious sister Lori has a nice new DSLR camera and happily agreed to be our photographer for the day.
IMG_2719She did SUCH a fabulous job.  It was so so very hard to even narrow the photos down to my favorites.  She was so patient and encouraging and even carried my water and clothes and props around for me whenever Kenny’s hands got full.
IMG_2746We had the whole morning to just meander around the gardens.  It was such a gorgeous day, we couldn’t have asked for better weather.  The sun was shining and the gardens were just immaculate.  I felt so incredibly happy just to be outside for awhile.
IMG_2863Kenny was my prince charming as usual.  He carried around all of my things, held my hand to help me walk to any unsteady locations, made sure I drank lots of water and didn’t get dehydrated, and jumped into the pictures to smile whenever I wanted.  Thanks sweet hubby for always catering to my whims.
IMG_2759This picture below is in the garden where Kenny and I said our vows.  It makes this picture extra special, it’s kind of where the whole fairy tale started.
IMG_2614This photo is one of my favorites, I like the way it seems candid and thoughtful.
IMG_2808I hope you can tell how much fun we had!
IMG_2919I thought my belly was HUGE at this point, I can’t believe it has gotten even bigger.
