Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have gained exactly ten pounds so far. It feels like a lot more than that because my belly is sticking out so far, but my doctor assures me the scales don’t lie.
Maternity Clothes: I’m still loving my pretty maternity clothes for work and any time I’m out and about, but once I get home I’m pretty much ready for my stretchy pajama pants and a loose tee shirt. I know Kenny shared his scariest moment a few days ago when I had to have a cerclage surgery done. Well, I spent about a week on bed rest after the surgery and got pretty used to the comfy clothes.
Gender: It’s a precious little girl!
Movement: I still get excited every time I feel this little lady move or kick. I read an article online that mentioned that her movements could be seen from the outside about this time, so I spent about twenty minutes laying on my back just watching my belly twitch and flicker. It was so amazing to feel and SEE her little kicks at the same time! I’m still waiting for Kenny to ‘officially’ feel her moving, but he could see the little movements and ripples, so I know they are feel-able.
Sleep: I think I finally got caught up on my needed sleep, a week of bed rest does that for you I guess.
What I miss: Well, I would trade ANYTHING to make sure this sweet little girl stays healthy and growing inside me, so I can’t say I really ‘miss’ anything. I miss feeling confident standing up and being on my feet and vertical, needing that cerclage surgery and staying horizontal for a week really put a scare in me, but as the time keeps going by and the doctor keeps assuring me I can be up and around I think I will regain my confidence. In my prayers I always tell God that I can handle anything (sickness, pains, worry etc) as long as our sweet baby stays safe.
Cravings: I am still craving little cuties oranges. I think I’ll have one RIGHT NOW!
Best Moment this week: Definitely having the cerclage surgery done. As scary and painful as that was, just knowing that the doctors caught that issue in time and took care of it, that is truly a miracle. Kenny and I couldn’t feel any more blessed to still have our sweet girl growing and strong.
